Privacy Policy
A private club runs on trust. This page explains what we keep about you, why, who can see it, and how to have it removed.
Last updated 2 October 2026
In short. We collect what it takes to run the club and nothing more. We do not sell your information, show you ads, or track you across other apps and websites. Your contact details are only ever shown to members whose connection you accepted.
Who we are
The chic E boyz club app and website are operated by chic E boyz club, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("the club", "we"). For anything about your information, write to admin@chiceboyzclub.com.
What we collect
When you apply
Your name, email address, home city, industry, a few words about yourself, your LinkedIn profile, your Instagram handle if you add it, your invitation code, the names of the members who put you forward, and any note you leave for the membership committee.
When you are a member
- Your account: your email address and password. Passwords are stored in scrambled form by our sign-in provider and are never visible to anyone at the club.
- Your profile: name, photo, city, neighbourhood, industry, title, a short bio, the interests and causes you choose, age, membership number, the year you joined, verification badges and whether your public profile is on.
- Contact details you choose to add: WhatsApp, phone, LinkedIn and Instagram, together with your choice of which of them are shared.
- Club activity: requests to share contact details, seats you ask for at gatherings and whether you attended, gatherings you host, table and venue requests, members you block and anything you report.
- Conversations: the messages, photos and videos you send in the app's conversations.
- Notifications: a notification token for your device, so we can tell you when something needs your attention, and a record of the notifications we have sent you.
- Club records: notes the club keeps while handling requests and reports, and short feedback members may give after meeting each other. These are seen only by the people who run the club.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, your address book, advertising identifiers or browsing history. The app has no analytics or advertising tools. If you turn on Face ID to lock the app, the check happens on your phone; we never receive your face data.
Camera, photos and microphone
The app asks for these only when you choose to share a photo or video in a conversation, or save one to your library. Nothing is taken or uploaded without you choosing it.
How we use it
- To review applications and run the membership.
- To show your profile to other members and help you meet the right people.
- To arrange gatherings, seats, tables and introductions.
- To deliver your messages and send you notifications.
- To keep the club safe, including looking into reports and honouring blocks.
- To answer you when you write to the club.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it or trade it to anyone.
Who can see what
- Members can see your profile. Someone you have blocked, or who has blocked you, cannot.
- Your contact details are shown only to members you have both agreed to share them with, and only the channels you have switched on. Any member can send you a message in the app without them.
- Your membership card opens a web page for whoever scans its code or follows its link: your photo, name, chapter, membership number and the year you joined, so a partner venue can see you are a member. If you turn on your public profile, the page also shows your title, bio, interests and your LinkedIn and Instagram. Turn it off at any time on the card.
- Guest lists are visible to the host and to members who hold a confirmed seat at the same gathering.
- Conversations are visible to the people in them. When you write to the club, the people who run the club read and answer. The club does not read private conversations between members, except the excerpt of a message someone reports.
- The people who run the club can see members' records, applications and requests in order to run it.
Services we rely on
A few trusted providers process information for us, only to provide their service:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in.
- Stream carries and stores the app's conversations.
- Expo delivers notifications and app updates and hosts our website. Apple delivers notifications to iPhones.
- Some pictures in the app, such as venue photos, load from Unsplash, which sees only a standard web request.
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of members.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you are a member. You can delete your account at any time in the app, under Profile, then Delete my account. When you do, we remove your sign-in, profile details, photo, contact details, connections, notifications and device tokens, and we delete your chat account together with your messages.
We keep a short anonymous record, showing a former member with your membership number, city, industry and dates, along with past attendance and any safety reports, so the club's history and safety records stay intact.
If your application is not accepted, we keep it until you ask us to remove it. Write to us and we will delete it within 30 days.
Your choices
- Edit your profile and choose which contact details connections can see, at any time, in the app.
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
- Delete your account in the app.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by writing to admin@chiceboyzclub.com. We answer within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have further rights over your information. We honour them, and you can use them by writing to the same address.
Keeping it safe
Access to your information is limited by strict rules in our database, so members see only what is meant for them. On your phone, your session is stored encrypted, and you can require Face ID to open the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we take care to protect what you share with us.
Age
The club is for adults. We do not accept members under 18 and do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell members in the app.
